Swimming Prohibited at Baggersee

Following several reports of swimmers who developed symptoms after swimming in the Baggersee, the Grand Est Regional Health Agency (ARS) is currently conducting tests.

Therefore, on the recommendation of the ARS and as a precautionary measure, the City of Illkirch-Graffenstaden has issued an order temporarily prohibiting swimming in this body of water, effective Tuesday, June 30.

Swimming pools and bodies of water

A refreshing splash

Work up a sweat with activities like aqua aerobics, aquabike, or aquadeep. And for fun, the water slide and inflatable structures promise some great slides.

At the lakes and ponds, you can also relax at the developed beaches and supervised swimming areas. Take advantage of extended hours to enjoy the sunny days even more.

Parks

This is a chance to admire the Urban Nature Park, take walks along the paths of Schulmeister Park, relax in Citadel Park, and recharge your batteries in the nature reserves, green spaces, or even the cool, shaded spots found throughout the streets of Strasbourg.

See the map below for the locations of the parks.

Heat Wave Prevention

What to Do During a Heat Wave:

These booths will serve as information centers where prevention messages will be shared and, above all, as safe havens and support centers where anyone feeling unsafe can go. At Place Saint-Étienne, the initiative will be bolstered by a “safe space,” designed to provide a calm and secure environment for those who need it and to offer support and assistance to potential victims.

Below is a map of the various measures put in place to help you cope with the heat this summer:
